After 23 years, The Mill has left its Great Marlborough Street HQ and created a new “state-of-the-art” digital facility.
It’s taken a year of planning, designing and construction to get there but now The Mill has finally unveiled its new London home in Windmill Street, Fitzrovia.
Its new office is a bespoke-designed 29,000 square foot studio at 11-14 Windmill Street, W1. It’s the first time The Mill has moved its headquarters since the company first set up shop back in 1990.
Following designs created by Mill engineer’s Mark Dougan and Tim Yeo Wire Broadcast provided system integration work for the main 50 rack server room, the ingest and QC area and the multiple edit suites spread from the first to the fifth floor.
Roy Trosh, Group Technical Director, commented:
“….Moving The Mill’s entire London operation to our new home in Windmill St whilst remaining open to clients and delivering jobs was the biggest technical and logistical challenge we have faced in our 25 year history.
Wire Broadcast were the perfect partner and their expertise enabled us to deliver the project on time and under budget.”
